Dune by plonc.
A Ground Study - First Iteration
Dune is authored through Intra-Tile Architecture as a study of erosion and duration. Its surface carries the memory of stone shaped not by force, but by repetition - wind passing, water retreating, pressure accumulating over time. Fissures and fine fractures register these processes as quiet inscriptions rather than decorative marks.
Rendered in warm earth-sand tones, Dune balances solidity with restraint. It holds the density of rock while allowing the surface to remain breathable, its markings recalling terrain worn smooth by centuries rather than moments.
As part of GeoLux, Dune does not imitate stone.
It interprets geological behaviour, translating slow transformation into architectural ground. Designed in Australia and produced in large-format porcelain, it anchors space without assertion — steady, calm, and materially resolved.
This iteration of Dune marks the conclusion of its first geological study.
As stock reaches completion, Dune will return in a re-authored form, shaped by new material thinking, new relief, and a renewed reading of erosion and ground. Dune is not static. It evolves.
